A seasonal shift

Andrea Meyer | SEP 26, 2023

I've been thinking about this blog for awhile now and with the autumn season here, I decided it was a good time to start something new.

Welcome! As we shift into this new season, you may find yourself needing a shift too. The foods you eat, the sleep you get, or don't get, exercise, and even your personality may be off a tad. If you feel a bit irritated, moody, grumpy, don't worry, it's the seasonal change. Add warming foods like soups and stews, warm beverages like hot teas, and vegetables and fruits that's in season will help get you on track. Pay attention to your night time routine and try to keep a consistent sleep schedule. Keep it dark and cool in your bedroom. For movement, get outside for a walk several days a week, if not daily. Continue strength training, especially adding weights to preserve your bone health. Exercise should be a steady part of your life as movement is medicine for the body.

I will continue to add new workouts in the membership. A new section has been added, 40min+ Workouts, for those who have the time and want a longer workout. The Movement Membership will maintain it's wide range of options, but will extend the bodyweight and dumbbell workouts as those are the most needed for minimal space, time and equipment. And are my favorite to do personally.☺️

Another new option this summer was the Water FIT Workouts I held at my house. It was fun and new and I will continue to have until the pool closes for the year. Check social or this website for days and times as pop ups will occur.

For anyone who wants to try a workout, contact me for a personal session or join a group class on a Saturday morning. Check the schedule for times.

I am always learning ways to make my life healthier and will share tips about movement, nutrition and anything relating to a healthy lifestyle as I learn them.

✌️Andrea
